contact usThe ZGQ single-chamber vacuum high-pressure, high-flow rate gas quenching furnace is a type of vacuum furnace primarily used for bright gas quenching, vacuum tempering, and vacuum sintering of alloy structural steel, alloy tool steel, die steel, bearing steel, elastic alloys, stainless steel, and high-speed steel. It can also be used for vacuum brazing of stainless steel and its copper-, nickel-, and silver-based materials.
The ZGQ vacuum furnace consists of a main unit, vacuum system, electronic control system, gas charging system, water cooling system, pneumatic system, and an external transport vehicle.
The main unit is a horizontal, single-chamber structure consisting of a furnace body and a furnace cover.
The furnace body and cover are double-walled, water-cooled structures, with inner and outer walls constructed of 8mm carbon steel. The furnace door features a hinged, side-opening structure. The rear end features a standard elliptical head with a welded motor mounting flange and an internal recirculating air cooling system.
The furnace body, furnace cover, and motor cover are all double-walled, water-cooled. The furnace's inner wall is constructed of steel plates specifically designed for high-pressure vessels, while its outer wall is welded from carbon steel plates. One end is welded to the furnace door flange, while the other end is welded to the motor connection flange with a head and air cooling system. Cooling water is supplied internally. A high-power air-cooled motor is located at the rear of the furnace, protected by a motor cover and supplied with cooling water. A two-way seal is established between the furnace body and the door, secured with a locking ring to ensure the vacuum furnace is airtight during both negative pressure and high-pressure air cooling.
The heating chamber (furnace core) consists of an insulation layer, heating elements, graphite nozzles, and a charging platform. The insulation layer is a circular structure consisting of three layers of soft graphite felt (20 mm thick) and one layer of hard graphite felt (30 mm thick). This structure provides excellent thermal insulation. The hard felt resists strong winds during gas quenching, significantly extending the service life of the heating chamber. The insulation layer is secured to a chamber frame constructed of stainless steel expanded metal and angle steel rings. Fixed dampers are installed on the front and rear covers, and the edges of the dampers are coated with CFC material to prevent airflow. The heating elements are graphite tubes insulated with ceramic. They are evenly spaced along the circumference of the insulation layer, ensuring uniform heating and minimal heat loss. They are individually removable and easy to replace. Multiple rows of graphite nozzles are evenly distributed along the circumference of the insulation layer within the heating chamber. During gas quenching, the gas is forced to flow evenly from the nozzles, effectively achieving uniform quenching. The charge tray consists of graphite supports, a graphite hearth, and SiO2 spacers on the hearth. This structure prevents adhesion between the charge tray and the hearth at high temperatures. The heating temperature zone is divided into one independent heating and temperature control zone. The entire circular heating chamber is divided into annular units along the length of the furnace. The insulators are made of high-purity alumina insulating ceramic, providing high-temperature insulation.
The rear of the furnace houses a high-speed impeller blower, a square multi-stage, high-efficiency copper-copper heat exchanger (brazed), and an air duct guide. During air cooling, high-purity nitrogen or argon is introduced. Driven by a high-speed impeller, the gas is drawn into the impeller through a highly efficient copper-copper heat exchanger. After the impeller reverses direction, it is evenly sprayed from the nozzle toward the workpiece through the air duct guide device, ensuring uniform forced cooling. This creates a forced high-flow circulation, enabling rapid air cooling of the workpiece.
A medium- or high-vacuum exhaust system is installed on the side of the furnace to achieve oxidation-free heating of parts.
It is primarily used for high-pressure gas quenching of mold steel, tool steel, high-speed steel, stainless steel, and other alloy steels. The equipment also features vacuum tempering, vacuum annealing, vacuum sintering, and some vacuum brazing capabilities.
